FitSpace Gyms
The first low-cost gym chain in the UK, FitSpace has three membership types to suit different needs. A no- contract membership will set you back £19 a month, while if you don’t mind signing up for 18 months the price drops to just £12. An admin fee of £29 applies to both offers. Although it's cheaper than most gyms, you’ll find the same high-end equipment with staff on hand to help.

With no contracts, a joining fee of £25 and monthly fees of £17.99 or £24.99 depending on location, Pure Gym is a cheap alternative to other established chains. There are over 40 free classes run every week, the gyms are open 24 hours and with more than 220 pieces of the newest equipment in each location, it’s the closest you’ll get to a premium gym at a fraction of the price.
