Men’s Fitness got the chance to tread the same track as the world’s leading athletes when we were invited to take part in the Aviva Macmillan 4x100m exhibition race at the London Grand Prix, the biggest athletics meeting in the UK this year. The race – held just minutes before American sprint king Tyson Gay ran in the men’s 200m – was to raise money for the cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Four teams took part, each one anchored by a UK athletics legend. MF's Jon Lipsey ran the lead leg for the red team, captained by British 400m record holder Iwan Thomas, and was up against teams led by sprinters John Regis (blue) and Jason Gardner (green) and hurdler Tony Jarrett (yellow).

Check it out in the above video. It also features revealing interviews with Usain Bolt and a rather belligerent Tyson Gay.
