Steve Collins boxing career highlights video

Steve Collins, famous for his skull-cracking punching power in the ring, was born in Dublin in 1964, became the WBO world middleweight champion in 1994 and took the super middleweight title in 1995. In the latest issue of Men's Fitness - April 2010 – he explains how to land the perfect punch.

Here's a nice little excerpt from the piece:

Be prepared to go the distance
A lot of big hitters are lazy and rely on knocking opponents out early. If you do land the perfect punch and he doesn’t go down, accept you’ve got a long night ahead. During my second fight with Chris Eubank in 1995, I remember hitting him on the money but he didn’t go down. It’s disheartening, but that’s where the training kicks in to help you go the distance.
