UFC 165: Jon Jones interview

Jon Jones in the octagon

With his unorthodox striking, lightning speed and vicious grappling, Jones has destroyed every fighter placed in front of him and he’s pretty much cleaned out the UFC’s stacked light heavyweight division. Alexander ‘the mauler’ Gustafsson is one of the only credible challengers left and will take him on in the Octagon on Saturday 21st September (watch our interview with Gustaffson here). He poses a different challenge to anyone Jones has faced because he’s the only man in the weight class with a longer reach than the champion, and he’s a better striker than almost all of Jones’s previous opponents.

Here Jones tells MF how he plans to cope with Gustaffson and why he’d like to fight Muhammad Ali and UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.

UFC 165: Jones vs Gustafsson will be shown live on BT Sport from 1am on 21st September.
