Sign Up For Four Days Of Alpine Adventure At The North Face Mountain Festival

Whatever you’re currently planning on doing on 14th-17th September this year, it’s almost certainly not going to be as much fun as attending The North Face Mountain Festival in Switzerland.

The perfect long weekend for outdoor enthusiasts, the festival is based in Lauterbrunnen at the foot of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps, a dramatic setting for an array of stunning hikes, trail runs and climbs.

All of these activities will be planned and led by The North Face athletes and local guides so you can explore the area without worrying about getting stranded. As well as the three core activities there will be opportunities to try canyoning, paragliding and rafting.

Once you’re back at basecamp (and you will be camping, naturally) there will be workshops, talks, live music and films to keep you amused. The workshops include adventure photography and expedition cookery classes, so you can learn how to cook Instagram-worthy meals and snap them no matter how far from civilisation you are.

The early bird tickets for the festival have already sold out so if you are keen to go don’t delay in grabbing one of the standard price tickets while they are available. Tickets start from €249 (around £211), which includes all activities, workshops and evening entertainment, as well as your camping spot and breakfast from Friday to Sunday.

Attendees will be also treated to dinner on Saturday night in the “geodesic banqueting hall”, a huge clear dome. It’s also an excellent spot for watching any stormy weather that might hit during the festival.

On the topic of bad weather, it won’t derail the weekend if it happens – the trail runs and hikes will go ahead in all but the very worst conditions, and there’s an indoor climbing wall that will keep enthusiasts occupied if it is too wet or blustery to tackle the Alps themselves.
