Shane O’Neill on winning the 2013 X Games

Monster Energy pro skater Shane O’Neill is ruling the sport right now. He’s proved himself head and shoulders above the competition at technical bench skating, and in the past two years he’s put out several game-changing video parts while establishing himself as a staple of the Street League competition circuit – the biggest, most respected street skateboarding series.

This July at Street League Portland O’Neill became the first skater to ever get a 9.9 score out of ten for a single trick – a switch double 360 flip down the biggest set of stairs on the course. Check out the ridiculousness here.

Here, O’Neill tells MF why he doesn’t mind getting beaten and reveals a recent never-done-before trick he’s just filmed for an upcoming Nike video part.
